Burger Toast Recipe: Delicious Twist on Classic

Enjoy a unique twist on the classic burger by using toasted bread instead of traditional buns. This recipe adds a delicious crunch and flavor to your burger.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 8 slices of bread
  • 4 slices of cheese
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Tomato slices
  • Pickle slices
  • Ketchup and mustard (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Patties:
    • In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, egg, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
    • Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
    • Shape the mixture into four equal-sized patties.
  2. Cook the Patties:
    • Preheat a grill or a frying pan over medium-high heat.
    • Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
    • During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheese on each patty to melt.
  3. Toast the Bread:
    • While the patties are cooking, toast the bread slices until they are golden brown and crispy.
  4. Assemble the Burgers:
    • Place a lettuce leaf on four of the toasted bread slices.
    • Add a cooked patty with melted cheese on top of the lettuce.
    • Layer with tomato slices and pickle slices.
    • Add ketchup and mustard if desired.
    • Top each burger with another slice of toasted bread.
  5. Serve:
    • Serve the toasted bread burgers immediately with your favorite side dishes like fries or a salad.
